Multidrop - Initial System Set (First Steps)

When you first receive access to the system it can be a little daunting not knowing where to start with setting the system up for your company as it's a blank slate unless you have used the software previously.

To help with the 'First Steps' we have put together a playlist of videos together with what we suggest you watch and action first to set the basic settings up on the system, we will link the playlist at the bottom after the list of steps/details below.

  1. Internal Users - This video will cover how to set up internal users within your business to access the system and work on it.
  2. Global System Settings - This video covers the main system settings, these shouldn't need changing, however, if you wish to customise the app vehicle check labels or invoicing/POD footers you will need to edit these here.
  3. Company Depot Locations - This video covers how to add your depots to the system and the internal stock locations within that depot that you wish to scan to - if you have our hardware to do this.
  4. Company Depot Zones - This video covers how to use the 'Manage Zones' options for automation of order allocation to specific depots if you have more than one or sub-contractors etc.
  5. Communication Templates (SMS & Email) - This video covers how to update the recipient, customer and internal communications sent from the system atomically so that they are worded exactly as you want them to be.
  6. Customer Accounts - This video covers how to create a customer account and add all their details so that you can completer the setup for orders, invoices etc.
  7. Customer Users - This video covers how to create Customer account users so they can log into the customer portal and add orders and notes to orders etc.
  8. Company Vehicles - This video covers how to add your internal company vehicles to the system to be linked with routes, reports and other data as well as the MOT and maintenance logs.
  9. Company Employees - This video covers how to add your internal drivers and driver mates to the system so they can be linked with routes, reports, orders feedback and other data as well as absence tracking and license reporting.
  10. Company  Sub-Contractors - This video covers how to add your external subcontractors to the system so you can subcontract orders out to them.
  11. Company Assets - This video covers how to add your internal company phones, PDAs or driver packs to the system to be linked with routes and employees.
